ABSTRACT
It is very current and continuously explores the problems of efficiency and total factor productivity in all economic sectors, which means in the trade. In recent years, DEA analysis, DEA analysis window, DEA Malmquist productivity index, Fuzzy Topsis method and other mathematical models and methods have been increasingly used, in addition to statistical analysis. Bearing this in mind, this paper examines the dynamics of efficiency and total factor productivity of trade companies in Serbia by region using the DEA analysis window and the DEA Malmquist productivity index. The obtained results of the research show that the efficiency and productivity of trade companies in Serbia - North, Belgrade Region and Vojvodina regions are significantly higher than in other observed regions (Serbia - South, Sumadija and Western Serbia and South - East Serbia). In all, and especially in the regions of Serbia - South, the Sumadija Region and Western Serbia, and the South - East Serbia region, appropriate measures must be taken, above all, the application of new concepts of cost management, and information and communication technologies in order to improve efficiency and productivity commercial enterprises in the future.
