ABSTRACT
The statistical research carried out during the practice has a goal to determine if there are differences in the structure and success of certain categories of students at the Faculty of Economics. Preciselly, the comparison of students who completed high school of economics and other schools (high school, technical, agriculture and others) is being performed, as well as the comparison between male and female students. In this process, observation was preceded over the structure and success of all students in a whole, by individual school years, and by old and Bologna program, while the average grades for complete study are also taken into consideration. There were no similar researches at the Faculty so far, therefore the presumptions on indicated differences can’t be formulated precisely. In addition, further comparison of students by the place of the high school graduation, subject area etc. is possible but these assessments will be set aside for some future researches. The administration office of the Faculty electronically records a large amount of data on students since 1997, so the analysis includes 3282 students enrolled by the end of school year 2014/2015 and 1084 graduated students (929 under the old program and 155 under the new one – Bologna program) who graduated by September 2015. Research has shown that, according to above characteristics, differences are present also in structure of enrolled and in structure and success of graduated students.
