Research Data

The Journal of the Faculty of Economics Brčko encourages authors to make available the research data that support the results presented in the manuscript and/or enrich the published article, ensuring that the data are as open as possible and closed only when truly necessary. The Journal of the Faculty of Economics Brčko accepts accompanying software applications, high-resolution images, datasets, audio or video recordings, extensive appendices, data tables, and other relevant supplementary materials that cannot be included within the article itself.

Authors may submit research data together with the manuscript. In this case, the data will be made available to the reviewers and published in the general-purpose repository Zenodo once the manuscript is accepted for publication. Each data file will be assigned a DOI, enabling the data to be cited in the same manner as publications. These materials are not subject to copyediting or editorial processing and will be deposited in the form in which they were submitted; therefore, the authors bear full responsibility for their appearance and format.

Exceptions: Public release of data is not always feasible. In the following cases, data supporting the results published in the articles do not have to be publicly available: when there is an obligation to protect results and confidentiality, security restrictions, the need to protect personal data, or other legitimate limitations. When data necessary for validating the published conclusions cannot be provided in open access, authors should ensure access to the extent that allows the validation of conclusions while respecting legitimate interests or restrictions.
